Job summary

Eurofins USA Environment Testing in Texas is hiring a CNC Machinist & Mechanical Assembly Technician to build, fabricate, and assemble custom machinery and automation equipment. The role combines hands-on fabrication with electrical panel work and system testing.

You will read fabrication drawings, operate lathes and mills, wire panels, and support the automation team. Travel up to 20% for installations, training, and field service, with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification.
• Professional working proficiency in English, reading, writing and speaking in English.
• Intermediate proficiency in reading part and assembly drawings.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work under machines while maintaining steady pace.
• Experience operating CNC machines.
• Familiarity with automation equipment and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Fabrication & Assembly: interpret drawings and fabricate using hand/power tools; assemble pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• CNC Operations: operate lathes and mills; assist with machining as needed.
• Electrical Panel Wiring: wire panels according to schematics; ensure safety and quality standards.
• Support & Collaboration: assist automation team with testing and troubleshooting; perform related tasks.
• Travel: ability to travel up to 20% for installations, support, or training.

Job Description

The CNC Machinist & Mechanical Assembly Technician role involves building, fabricating, and assembling custom machinery and automation equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and adapt to changing priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Mechanical Fabrication & Assembly

• Interpret and work from mechanical fabrication drawings.
• Provide feedback to the mechanical design team for improvements or clarifications.
• Perform precision fabrication using hand tools and power tools.
• Assemble pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Machining & CNC Operations
• Operate CNC equipment such as lathes and mills (experience preferred but not required).

Electrical Panel Wiring

• Wire electrical panels according to provided electrical schematics.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Support & Collaboration

• Assist the automation team with equipment testing and troubleshooting.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks related to machine building and integration.

Travel

• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time for installations, support, or training.

Qualifications

• Ability to maintain a steady pace while bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, and climbing onto and beneath machines.
