Job summary

Turbocam Inc. in Barrington, NH is seeking a skilled machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes and mills for prototyping and production.

You will interpret blueprints, measure parts with calibrated instruments, perform preventative maintenance, and maintain fixtures while ensuring quality per TURBOCAM procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
• Experience running CNC lathes and mills.
• Good math skills.
• Knowledge of measuring equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and use calibrated instruments to check dimensions.
• Ability to advance through training matrix.
• Attention to detail; ability to follow instructions carefully.
• Good interpersonal, communication and organization skills.
• Basic understanding of MS Office: Outlook, Word, and Excel desired.
• Must be self‑motivated and willing to seek out additional work when time is available.
• Occasional lifting and carrying of 25‑50 lbs. or more; standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate assigned lathe or mill machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics as needed.
• Report deviations in machine performance to supervisor or maintenance personnel.
• Consult with supervisor for tools and tooling needed to complete projects.
• Maintain fixtures and set-ups for use in projects as assigned.
• Support shop efficiency by keeping work areas clean and safe.
• Inspect and document operations per TURBOCAM procedures and product specs.
• Interpret blueprints and use calibrated instruments to check dimensions on inspection reports.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
