Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners (MRP) is seeking a CNC Machinist in Vermont to operate CNC lathes and machining centers, perform setups and program edits, and ensure parts meet engineering prints and GD&T specs. The role also involves inspection, basic assembly, and routine maintenance in a hands-on shop environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years with CNC machinery, strong measurement skills, and the ability to work independently or in a small team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working with CNC machinery.
• Experience operating CNC lathes and/or machining centers.
• Experience with manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, drills, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering prints.
• Understanding of GD&T, datums, tolerancing, and drawing views.
• Experience measuring and inspecting machined parts.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines and perform CNC machining.
• Set up machines and edit CNC programs.
• Inspect and measure parts for quality.
• Perform basic assembly and routine machine maintenance.
