Job summary

Finn-Kool is seeking a Machinist II to independently operate established CNC Mill or Lathe work, perform basic setup tasks, and ensure consistent quality with limited supervision. The role requires reading production documentation, verifying parts, and addressing tool wear within approved limits.

The candidate will use ERP for labor and job status, communicate issues early, and adhere to PPE and safety procedures in a busy machine shop environment. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Machinist I or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints and tolerances.
• Basic shop math proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC equipment on established jobs with supervision.
• Load programs, verify setup docs, and assist with basic repeat setups.
• Perform tool wear checks, life, and routine offsets within authority.
• Conduct proper startup, run, and shutdown procedures.
• Read drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances; document inspection results.
