Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. in Gardena, CA is seeking a Level Two Machinist to advance from Level One.

You will operate 3-5 axis CNC machines with basic setup, fixtures, cutting tools, and CNC programs, while verifying part quality and monitoring offsets. The role requires 2-4 years in level one machining, familiarity with G and M codes, basic shop math, reading prints, and use of Avante or E1 for tracking time.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in level one machining duties.
• GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic setup operations including setting up fixtures, cutting tools and CNC programs.
• Maintain product quality through monitoring and adjusting CNC offsets.
• Perform inspection tasks of intermediate complexity interacting with drawings and more advanced inspection tools.
• Validate program and first part runs on existing product.
• Interact with production tracking tools such as Avante or E1 to charge time to job orders and claim parts at the end of the shift.
• Perform SPC as required.
