Job summary

Prince Industries is seeking a CNC Machinist II to operate CNC milling and turning machines on the second shift in Titusville, FL, fabricating metallic and non-metallic parts. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up tooling, and maintaining tolerances with precision measuring instruments.

You will work with MAZAK, HAAS, and Fanuc controls, contribute to process improvements, and adhere to ISO quality standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC machining certification preferred.
• 3–5 years' experience in CNC machining.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently; able to read technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Load and unload raw materials safely.
• Operate CNC lathes and mills with minimal supervision.
• Use measuring instruments to meet tolerances.
• Understand tool wear offsets and basic cutting tools.

Job Summary

The CNC Machinist II operates under minimal supervision, operating CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts.

Second Shift: 6:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday

• Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
• Reads and interprets blueprints
• Properly and safely loads and unloads raw materials
• Proficient in the use of measuring instruments
• Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
• Ability to power on and operate CNC lathes and mills with minimal assistance. Must be self-sufficient
• Must demonstrate a basic understanding of cutting tools
• Properly chooses/uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling
• Understands and can perform basic tool wear offsets
• Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
• Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment
• Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department
• Basic understanding and ability to follow manufacturing processes and procedures
• Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
• Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions
• Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management
• Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input
• Communicates honestly, professionally, and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills
  

Required Skills / Attributes

• In-depth knowledge of CNC milling machines and operations
• Must be familiar with MAZAK, HAAS, Fanuc, and Mori Controls
• Understands and can function using M and G codes
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments and tools
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to night shifts and weekends as needed to meet customer or company needs
  

Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining is preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in CNC machiningAbility to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently

Physical Job Requirements

• Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach during the duration of shift, 8-10 hours
• Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend
• Frequently required to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated in the specific work area assigned
• This position requires working night shifts

Compensation: $25-30/hr
