Job summary

Laborup Manufacturing is seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join a growing precision shop in Franklin, TN. The role focuses on setup, operation, and process control across 3-, 4-, and true 5-axis machines including DMG and Makino.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC milling and/or lathe experience
• Independent CNC setup experience
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Experience holding tight tolerances
• Precision measuring tool experience
• Basic CMM inspection experience
• Hands-on 5-axis machining experience preferred
• ISO 9001 manufacturing experience beneficial

Responsibilities

• CNC Setups: Perform independent machine setups and fixture changeovers
• Machine Operation: Operate multiple CNC machines throughout the shift
• Process Adjustments: Make tool wear offsets and machining adjustments as needed
• Quality Inspection: Complete first-piece and in-process inspections
• Precision Measurement: Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and detailed work instructions
• Production Documentation: Accurately record inspection results and production information
• Machine Readiness: Maintain coolant, lubrication, tooling, and general machine readiness
