Job summary

Arch Precision, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Machinist for 3rd shift (Mon-Thu, 7:30pm-6:00am) to join our production team in Earth City, MO. You will bridge from a raw drawing to a finished precision part, setting up complex multi-axis CNC and rotary transfer machines, and ensuring first article quality before handing off to operators.

Qualifications

3–5 years CNC setup experience.
Strong understanding of G-code and M-code, edit programs at the controller (Fanuc preferred).
Metrology with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM).
Able to read complex drawings and tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

Set up machines from blueprints, install tools, load programs, set offsets.
Perform first-article inspection using micrometers, calipers, and CMM to verify accuracy.
Review G-code/M-code for errors; run dry runs and single-block tests for safety and efficiency.
Select, assemble, and preset cutting tools; monitor wear and adjust as needed to maintain tolerances.
Collaborate with Programming/Engineering to improve cycle times, tool life, and fixture stability.
Mentor operators on part loading, basic offsets, and quality checks after setup.
