Job summary

Storm-Search- is seeking a CNC Machinist for the Medina, Ohio area to operate numerically controlled machine tools and perform progressive machining operations with close tolerances and finishes. The role requires reading blueprints, setting up and programming at least one machine, and maintaining quality to meet production goals.

The position offers a 3rd shift schedule (Mon-Thu, 4/10s) with a pay range of $24-$28 per hour depending on experience and skill.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience or equivalent in CNC machining.
• Reads blueprints and tolerances.
• Familiar with micrometers and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates blueprints, drawings, sample parts, and engineering information to determine methods and sequence of operations to fabricate parts.
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit programs.
• Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines.
• Meet established Production and Quality goals

CNC Machinist - 3rd Shift - Medina, OH

Shift: 3rd shift available, Monday-Thursday 4/10's

Pay: $24-$28/hour

Description

Sets up, adjusts and checks out programming, and operates numerically controlled machine tools to perform a series of progressive machining operations on repetitive work to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications requiring considerable skill. Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings, for operations such as bore, mill, drill, face, thread and occasional profiling and contouring. Checks parts for conformance to specifications. Operators may run more than one unit simultaneously. Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods and familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures, plus the ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent.

Requirements

• Preferred: Certificate of completion from Certified Machining Program
• >2 Years’ experience or equivalent
• Basic understanding of workflow
• Average skill in reading blueprints
• Ability to read and use Micrometers, Calipers
• Set up and program at least one machine
• Can run all manual machines
• High School Diploma or equivalent
