Job Summary

Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a CNC Machinist at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations, the Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd. in Cleveland. This position is responsible for setting up tooling, downloading NC programs, and ensuring quality parts are produced. The incumbent will work independently and collaborate with programming and manufacturing leadership as needed.

Howmet Engines is a world-class producer of aero engine and industrial gas turbine components, including airfoils, rings, disks, and forgings. We excel in vacuum melted superalloys, machining, performance coatings, and hot isostatic pressing for high-performance parts that enable quieter, more fuel-efficient aero engines and cleaner power generation.

Job Responsibilities

• Sets up material on CNC mills.
• Uses downloader software to stage and distribute programs.
• Selects, pre-sets, and installs tooling into machine registers.
• Monitors machines for issues during operation.
• Keeps machines clean and clear of chips and debris.
• Collaborates with CNC Programming and Inspection to resolve problems.
• Creates and maintains job documentation, including time logs.
• Meets deadlines for scheduled deliverables.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with machining various metals.
• Knowledge of speeds, feeds, step downs, and cutting tools.
• Experience with Fanuc Controls.
• Ability to use and read handheld measuring tools.
