Job summary

Jobot in Tulsa, OK is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC mills and lathes for prototype through production.

You will read blueprints, install fixtures, establish offsets, and verify programs with first-piece and in-process inspection.

Three-plus years of hands-on CNC experience, GD&T, and experience with Haas, 4‑axis milling, and FeatureCAM are preferred. We offer a collaborative on-site shop environment and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework, technical training, or an apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC machining experience with independent setups.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills and working knowledge of dimensional tolerances and GD&T.
• Ability to select tooling and workholding, establish offsets, and troubleshoot dimensional or finish problems.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and first-piece/in-process inspection.
• Working knowledge of G-code and the ability to make basic program edits.
• Experience machining steel, stainless steel, and aluminum preferred.
• Haas, 4-axis milling, and FeatureCAM experience preferred; confirm whether programming from scratch is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to the assigned work.
• Read blueprints, setup sheets, and job instructions to identify dimensions, tolerances, materials, and machining requirements.
• Install and align fixtures, workholding, cutting tools, and raw material.
• Establish work and tool offsets; adjust offsets to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Verify programs through controlled prove-outs and make authorized edits as needed.
• Inspect first-piece and in-process parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and other appropriate instruments.
• Monitor tool wear, surface finish, and part dimensions; troubleshoot machining issues and replace tooling as needed.
• Complete changeovers for prototype, short-run, and repeat production jobs.
• Document inspection results, production activity, and setup information.
• Perform routine machine care and maintain a clean, safe work area.
