ALIGN PRECISION in Tempe, AZ is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate and program machines, interpret complex drawings, and ensure parts meet stringent tolerances. The role requires experience with precision measuring tools and GD&T, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in a high-precision environment, a high school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency with CAD models and blueprints.
Position Summary: Prepares and operates computer numerical control machines. Follows provided operational instructions for the machine and part processes. Responsible for the proper loading of parts and materials. Responsible for in-process inspections and may require finessing. Responsible for accurate entries into ERP system. Manufactures parts to required quantity. Maintains a properly 5S work area and supports machine maintenance as required. Responsible for providing relevant feedback timely and accurately to managers and machinists. Monitors machine operation and display readouts to detect malfunctions. Compares display data to specifications and notifies supervisor of machine malfunctions. Inspects and measures parts to verify conformance to specifications. May perform machine adjustments and maintenance. Adheres to facility and machine safety procedures, alerting manager of any safety concerns. Plans machining by studying work orders and work instructions. Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances.
