Position Title: CNC Machinist



Wage: $18.00 - $22.00/Hour



Shifts: 1st Shift



Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Thursday

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

- Program, set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, etc.

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

- Review drawing specifications to determine proper set up procedure, machining sequence and dimensions

- Understand and select correct tooling

- Produce parts within required tolerances and specifications

- Measure work pieces for conformance to specification using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator and gauges

- Adjust machine speeds and feeds and change cutters to machine parts according to specifications

- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications

- Troubleshoot machine or program errors to ensure efficient production



Requirements for CNC Machinist:

- 1-3 years of experience with CNC machines

- Experience working in manufacturing, specifically in the wood industry, is helpful but not necessary

- Proficient in CNC machining operations

- Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering drawings

- Proficient in AutoCAD or similar software

- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance

- Strong mathematical skills

- Ability to use standard measuring tools effectively

- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to gather and analyze data

- Good communication skills

- Strong decision making and analytical abilities

- Ability to work independently and as a team player

- Ability to follow instructions
