We are seeking several experienced and highly skilled CNC Machinists to join our team in the Aerospace and Defense industry. 1st and 2nd shift positions are available. CNC Machinists will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC machines to manufacture precision parts used in critical aerospace and defense applications. This role requires an individual with advanced knowledge of CNC programming, machining techniques, and quality standards specific to the industry.

Requirements
  • Set up and operate CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal mills, lathes, mill-turn, creep feed surface grinder, and other specialized equipment to produce aerospace and defense components with high precision.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD/CAM models to accurately program CNC machines.
  • Perform complex machining operations including drilling, milling, turning, grinding, and tapping on a variety of materials, such as titanium, aluminum, stainless steel, and Inconel.
  • Ensure all machining work meets strict aerospace and defense industry standards, including AS9100 and NADCAP.
  • Utilize advanced measurement tools and techniques (CMM, micrometers, calipers, etc.) to inspect finished parts and ensure adherence to tolerances and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve CNC machine issues, including tool wear, machine malfunctions, and programming errors.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to refine designs and resolve any technical issues during production.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and quality control processes to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
  • Maintain CNC machine tools, including routine cleaning, calibration, and preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of machining processes, work orders, and quality assurance data.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and optimize machining processes.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a CNC Machining apprenticeship or technical certification in CNC Machining, Aerospace Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience operating CNC machines, with at least 3 years in the aerospace and defense industry.
  • Strong proficiency with CNC programming and operation (FANUC, Siemens, or similar systems).
  • Experience with complex materials, tight tolerances, and high-precision machining techniques.
  • In-depth understanding of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files.
  • Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, etc.) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Expert knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience with multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Expertise in machining for defense applications, including military-grade parts.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement processes.
  • Familiarity with additive manufacturing technologies or hybrid machining systems is a plus.
Compensation
  • $26-$36 per hour based on written assessment and demonstrated ability
