Your Role:
- Operate Multiple CNC Machines: Work with mills, lathes, and multitasking machines to produce high-quality aluminum and steel parts.
- Ensure Precision and Safety: Take a methodical approach to machine setup and operation, prioritizing safety to avoid machine crashes.
- Material Preparation and Inspection: Handle cutting, parts washing, boxing, and meticulous measurement and inspection of parts, samples, fixtures, tools, and equipment.
- Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with team members to ensure the right parts are produced on time for downstream departments.
- Maintain Equipment: Perform daily preventative maintenance and regular cleaning on machines and tooling.
- Adapt Quickly: Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while maintaining efficiency and productivity.
- Experience: 3+ years of related experience and/or specialized training.
- Machine Proficiency: Factory-trained and experienced in setting up and operating at least one of the following:
- Mori Seiki NT3200, or 3000, 4000, and 5000 series Multitasking Mill-Turn machines with live tooling and sub-spindles.
- Toyoda FA400 or FH450 horizontal machining centers with FMS pallet pool systems.
- Haas Lathes.
- Experience with machines like Mazak Integrex, Okuma Multus, Doosan Puma SMX, or similar is also relevant.
- Extensive experience operating machines with Fanuc controls.
- Long-Term Commitment: Demonstrated long tenure and strong relationships with previous employers, supported by solid references.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in on-machine program editing and conversational programming.
- Experience with offline programming using PTC Creo Pro/NC and Esprit is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong mechanical aptitude with a methodical approach to tasks.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, positive attitude, and reliable transportation.
- Standards Compliance: Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to ISO standards throughout the production process.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to communicate effectively and move around the facility.
- Operate equipment and handle parts, including lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Visual acuity to identify part numbers, read signage, and detect warning signals.
- Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment, which can be warm during summer months.
- You'll be working around moving mechanical parts; strict adherence to safety procedures is required.
- The noise level is moderate; hearing protection is provided as needed.
