Job summary

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced CNC Machinists for projects in the Portage, IN area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $35-40/hour based on experience and skill.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines in a shop environment.
• Ability to read blueprints and machining specifications.
• Proficient in selecting tooling, establishing offsets, and loading programs.
• Experience performing first-piece inspections and using precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal and vertical mills, horizontal boring mills, and turning centers.
• Work with Mazak, Haas, Kia, and Tongtai equipment, including Mazak HCN, VTC, Quick Turn, Slant Turn, and Integrex machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications.
• Select tooling, establish work offsets, load programs, and make necessary program adjustments.
• Set up fixtures, pallet systems, hydraulic steady rests, and Renishaw probing equipment.
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
• Safely move and position materials using overhead cranes and jib cranes.
• Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust tooling and offsets, and maintain quality throughout production.

This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $35-40/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope:

• Work with Mazak, Haas, Kia, and Tongtai equipment, including Mazak HCN, VTC, Quick Turn, Slant Turn, and Integrex machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and machining specifications
• Select tooling, establish work offsets, load programs, and make necessary program adjustments
• Set up fixtures, pallet systems, hydraulic steady rests, and Renishaw probing equipment
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensions using precision measuring instruments
