Job summary

THT Presses Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Dayton, OH team. The candidate will set up, program, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components in a manufacturing setting.

You will read blueprints, follow setup sheets, and verify workmanship against tight tolerances using precision measuring tools. Ideal applicants have at least 3 years of CNC experience, English communication ability, and a strong mechanical mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Trade school certification or vocational training in machining preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to interpret technical instructions, diagrams, schedules, and written procedures.
• Experience working with precision measuring instruments and maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, mills, lathes, and related equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and work instructions.
• Follow routers and setup sheets to ensure proper machining sequence and setup requirements.
• Select and install fixtures, tooling, attachments, and materials for machining operations.
• Adjust machine controls including feeds, speeds, coolant flow, and depth of cut.
• Retrieve, input, and edit machine programs as needed.
• Monitor machine operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment including micrometers, height gauges, and gauge blocks.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain quality standards in accordance with ISO procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to resolve machining issues.

CNC Machinist

Position Summary:

We are currently hiring a skilled CNC Machinist to support machining operations through machine setup, operation, and quality verification. This role requires experience working with CNC equipment and the ability to interpret technical drawings, setup documentation, and machining instructions to manufacture precision components safely and efficiently.
