CNC Machinist

Location: Western Connecticut

Pay: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

A well-established manufacturing company in Western Connecticut is seeking an experienced Machinist to join its team. This hands‑on role involves prototype, custom, and short‑run machining, along with tooling, fixture work, and component repair.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes.
  
• Program conversational CNC machines at the control.
  
• Machine parts from engineering drawings and specifications.
  
• Perform prototype, one-off, and low- to medium-volume production work.
  
• Manufacture, modify, and repair tooling, fixtures, and components.
  
• Select tooling, speeds, and feeds; troubleshoot machining issues.
  
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
  
• Maintain tight tolerances, consistent quality, and a safe work area.
