CNC Machinist - Join a Leading Manufacturer with Cutting-Edge Technology

Summary: We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join Ohio Gratings Inc. In this role, you will set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools to produce precision parts in a fast-paced environment. You will work with various machine tools, including CNC lathes and multi-axis CNC machining centers, utilizing advanced G-code programming, blueprint reading, and GD&T knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

• CNC Setup & Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines to complete precision machining tasks.
• Quality Control: Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure specifications are met, collaborating with QA team as needed.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and layouts, applying GD&T knowledge.
• Continuous Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to processes and setups.
• Production Documentation: Record work data accurately in EPICOR.
• Machine Maintenance: Perform minor repairs and inspections on machinery.
• Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and clean work environment following safety protocols.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC and manual machine tools.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with EPICOR or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational or technical training preferred.
• Previous CNC machining experience highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Lift up to 35 pounds.
• Work effectively in a high-paced environment.
