Job summary

Accelera is seeking candidates for a heavy-machining role at a major facility producing large steel forgings for aerospace and defense. You will undergo approximately 3 months of paid training on massive, specialized equipment, with pay increases possible after proving proficiency.

The position offers extensive paid training, a union role, and pathways to higher-paying classifications as you gain skills on CNC, lathe, mill, and related equipment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of machining or machine-operation experience.
• Previous exposure to and understanding of the type of machining position being considered.
• Mechanically inclined with solid basic math skills.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable and looking for a stable, long-term career.
• Comfortable in a heavy industrial environment.
• Must meet company background requirements and pass required drug screening.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC, lathe, mill, boring mill, or similar machining equipment.
• Machine and inspect large steel components.
• Read work orders, prints, and machining specifications.
• Make machine and tooling adjustments.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality.
• Learn specialized heavy-machining equipment through hands-on training.

** Join a major heavy-manufacturing facility producing some of the **largest steel forgings in the U.S., including specialized work supporting the U.S. Navy and Department of Defense.

This isn’t your typical machine shop. You’ll receiveapproximately 3 months of paid training on massive, specialized equipment

** that most machinists never get the opportunity to work with. **Perform well in training and qualify on more advanced equipment, and your hourly wage can increase.

*You bring the machining foundation—they’ll teach you the specialized equipment.*

What You’ll Do

2nd shift (M-Th 3pm-1amFridays 3pm-11pm)

Operate CNC, lathe, mill, boring mill, or similar machining equipment

Machine and inspect large steel components

Read work orders, prints, and machining specifications

Make machine and tooling adjustments

Use precision measuring tools to ensure quality

Learn specialized heavy-machining equipment through hands-on training

What We’re Looking For
