Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Aiken, SC is seeking a CNC (Numerical Control) Machine Operator for day shift. You will set up and operate line boring and Burkhardt & Weber machining centers, ensuring precise crankcase specifications.

The role offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus and relocation benefits, with a path from line boring entry to B&W CNC work, and a focus on quality and safety in a high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Entry level CNC operator requires vocational training or relevant hands-on machining experience.
• Experience with Sinumerik One control system is advantageous.
• Shift: 1st Shift – Monday through Thursday, 5:45am to 4:15pm.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and machine crankcases according to specifications on line boring and Burkhardt & Weber machines with Sinumerik One control.
• Bore and align the bearing alleys and bores; re-bore as required for precise alignment.
• Clamp, reclamp, and unclamp crankcases; monitor and correct as necessary.
• Monitor, change, correct, and adjust tools as required.
• Study machining instructions, routings, control plans, and drawings to determine operations and tooling.
