Job summary

Capewell Aerial Systems in South Windsor, CT is seeking an entry level CNC Machinist to operate CNC mills and lathes to produce machined parts while maintaining quality and safety standards. You will perform setups, inspect work, and document processes in a team environment, with emphasis on learning HAAS equipment and precision manufacturing practices.

The role requires completion of a precision manufacturing program and basic math skills, with a willingness to learn and adhere to safety rules.

Qualifications

• Completion of a precision manufacturing program.
• At least 1 year of CNC manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• Must have experience with CNC Mills.
• Experience with HAAS equipment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and CNC lathes using vises, fixtures, and rotary indexers.
• Inspect own work with standard gaging.
• Maintain quality and production standards.
• Make tool adjustments and changes.
• Perform secondary operations as required.
• Maintain equipment and/or machinery.
• Assist in helping other operators to maintain production and quality.
• Maintain a safe operations by adhering to safety procedures.
• Fill out inspection, work orders and process records.
• Attendance, punctuality, and reliability are required.
• Work toward continual improvement of self and job.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for new requests.
