Job summary

Ingersoll Rand Alsip, IL is seeking a CNC Machine Operator (I, II & Specialist) for first and second shifts. The role requires strong CNC experience, ability to read blueprints, and tight tolerances in a lean manufacturing setting.

Salary ranges from $23.89–$31.24 per hour plus a $1.35 shift differential and a $2,000 sign-on bonus. Candidates should be proficient with CNC tooling, programming (G/M-code), and setup/changeover processes.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience.
• Proficient in CNC tooling, programming, and G/M-code with setup/changeover skills.
• Experience reading blueprints and performing precision machining.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Work Machine setup, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).
• Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and/or operate other equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools for next scheduled job.
• Update and maintain all visual controls and create/support countermeasures and operate in a clean, safe environment.
• Participate in SMED, Kaizen events, and 5 Whys problem-solving exercises.
• Resolve and report equipment abnormalities.
• Follow safety procedures to insure personal and coworker safety and escalate unsafe practices.

The CNC Machine Operator is an experienced machine operator who is disciplined, creative and an excellent problem solver who will thrive in our lean manufacturing environment. A successful candidate is a reliable individual who is able to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Standard Work Machine set up, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).
• Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and/or operate other equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools which will be required for the next scheduled job.
• Update and maintain all visual controls and Create and/or support countermeasures and operate in and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Participate and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and ‘5 Whys’ problem-solving exercises.
• Resolve and/or report equipment abnormalities.
• Follow company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co- workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.

Requirements:

• At least 3+ (three) or more years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience
