SendCutSend is an on-demand manufacturing company specializing in custom sheet metal and CNC machining. We serve engineers, fabricators, and businesses across the U.S. and Canada, operating seven facilities in multiple states.

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will run and maintain advanced 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machines and robotic loading systems to produce precise, high-quality parts. You will monitor quality and support continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Experience with CNC machining fundamentals and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with hand tools and measurement instruments.
• Strong attention to detail for precise, repetitive tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines (3-axis and 5-axis) with material automation.
• Set up tooling and load materials into fixtures.
• Monitor tool condition and inspect parts.
• Perform routine quality inspections with basic tools (pins, calipers, micrometers).
• Assist with material handling, loading/unloading, and shipment prep.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Operate forklifts to move materials as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will run and maintain advanced 5-axis CNC machines and robotic loading systems to produce precise, high-quality parts. You will handle materials, set up tooling, monitor machine operation, perform routine inspections, and troubleshoot issues to keep production running smoothly and meet SendCutSend's quality standards. You will also support team workflows, maintain a safe and organized workspace, and help improve processes to drive efficiency and quality.

What you'll do

• Operate Advanced 3-axis and 5-Axis CNC machines including Brother, Haas and Matsuura brand machines with material automation
• Stage, load, and accurately secure raw material into machine vises and fixtures
• Assemble, set (length/diameter), and load tools into machine holders
• Monitor tool condition through visual inspection, auditory cues, and part quality
• Conduct routine quality inspections using basic inspection equipment (pins, calipers, micrometers)
• Assist with material handling, machine loading/unloading, and shipment preparation
• Perform daily production duties as directed by leadership, adapting to operational needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Operate forklifts to transport and store materials as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Experience with CNC machining fundamentals and willingness to learn and grow
• Proficiency with hand tools and measurement instruments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise, repetitive tasks
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with FANUC-based milling and G/M code
• Prior experience in a high-volume CNC production environment
• Knowledge of quality inspection processes and part tolerances
• Experience with robotic machine loading systems

Essential Physical Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift 25 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for 10 to 12 hour shifts
• Ability to bend, reach, and work around large industrial equipment

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production floor environment
• Work performed around CNC machines and material handling equipment
• Exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metal materials
• Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• This position requires working in close proximity to equipment that generates strong electromagnetic fields (EMF). This environment may pose a risk to individuals with cardiac pacemakers, ICDs, or other implantable medical devices.
