Job summary

Artivion, Inc. in Austin, TX, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders in a GMP-focused manufacturing environment.

You will handle material feeding, monitor production, perform precise dimensional measurements with micrometers and gauge blocks, and maintain accurate processing records while collaborating with leads to troubleshoot and improve equipment and processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNC training a plus.
• Proven ability to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders.
• Knowledge of GMP principles preferred.
• Experience with micrometers and gauge blocks for measurements.
• Detail-oriented with ability to follow procedures.
• Problem-solving skills and willingness to collaborate.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good communication and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC mills, lathes, and surface grinders for production runs.
• Feed raw materials or parts into CNC and semi-automatic machinery, GMP compliant.
• Monitor CNC and semi-automatic machinery to ensure GMP compliance.
• Use micrometers, indicators, optical comparators, and gauge blocks for measurements.
• Complete processing records accurately and legibly.
• Troubleshoot equipment with department leads as issues arise.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Suggest process/equipment improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned by operations management.
• Maintain positive relationships and respond constructively to feedback.
• Manage time effectively to meet production schedules.
