Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for 2nd shift (3:30pm to midnight) in a full-time, on-site role in Massachusetts. You will set up, load, and monitor automated CNC wire-forming and foaming machines, ensuring smooth production and adherence to instructions.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical aptitude, ability to read blueprints, perform basic shop math, and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and monitor CNC wire-forming and foaming machines per instructions.
• Feed raw wiring components or manage resin/foam reservoirs to maintain cycles.
• Perform first-piece and routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, or gauges.
• Read basic schematics, travelers, and operating instructions.
• Monitor machine performance, identify deviations, assist with minor adjustments.
• Keep workspace clean and follow PPE and LOTO protocols.
• Operate digital machine interfaces with basic math skills.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs safely.

CNC Machine Operator

40 hours fulltime Monday to Friday

$19.25 to $24.00 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, load, and safely monitor automated CNC wire-forming and foaming machines according to predefined instructions.


• Material Feeding: Properly feed raw wiring components or manage chemical/foam injection reservoirs to ensure smooth, uninterrupted manufacturing cycles.


• Quality Inspection: Use basic measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, or gauges) to perform first-piece and routine inspections on finished components to ensure exact adherence to tolerances.


• Blueprint Literacy: Read and interpret basic technical schematics, job travelers, and operational work instructions. [1, 2]


• Basic Troubleshooting: Monitor machine performance, spot deviations in wire tracking or foam density, and assist maintenance or mid-level operators with minor setup corrections.


• Safety & Maintenance: Keep the workspace and tools clean. Maintain strict adherence to all workplace safety rules, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.


• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. (Technical school training or a basic manufacturing certification is a major plus).


• Mechanical Aptitude: Comfortable working around heavy, fast-moving automated industrial equipment.


• Basic Math & Tech Skills: Ability to compute basic shop mathematics and navigate digital machine interface screens.


• Physical Capabilities: Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive manual tasks, and lift materials up to 50 lbs safely.
