Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is hiring a CNC Machine Operator in Alsip, IL. The role includes CNC machine I, II and specialist responsibilities in a lean manufacturing setting, reading blueprints, and maintaining tight tolerances with a strong mechanical aptitude.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of CNC maintenance experience, solid problem-solving skills, and the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift (7:00am–4:00pm or 4:00pm–12:30am). We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Job Title: CNC Machine I, II & Specialist

Location: Alsip, IL

1st Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

2nd Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00pm - 12:30am

Pay Range: Pay range is $23.89-$27.51 per hour plus $1.35/hr. Shift Differential for 2nd shift as well as $1500 Sign On Bonus after 90 days

Job Overview

The CNC Machine Operator is an experienced machine operator who is disciplined, creative and an excellent problem solver who will thrive in our lean manufacturing environment. A successful candidate is a reliable individual who is able to read blueprints and hold tight tolerances with a strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Follow Standard Work Machine set up, running parts and preventative maintenance (PM).
• Inspect, deburr, and perform manual operations and/or operate other equipment, including the selection and presetting of tools which will be required for the next scheduled job.
• Update and maintain all visual controls and Create and/or support countermeasures and operate in and maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Participate and engage in SMED, Kaizen events, and "5 Whys" problem-solving exercises.
• Resolve and/or report equipment abnormalities.
• Follow company safety procedures and standards to insure individual and collective safety, in addition to avoiding unnecessary risk to oneself, co- workers, contractors, customers, and property. Be a stand for safety having the courage to call forth and report unsafe practices.

Requirements

• At least 3+ (three) or more years of CNC maintenance mechanic experience
