Job summary

JobSquad Solutions Team is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for Glendale Heights, IL on 1st and 2nd shift. You will set up and operate a 3-axis, milling, EDM and/or 5-axis creep feed grinding machine to grind flat or contoured surfaces to customer specifications.

You will measure parts with dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges, perform detailed QA reviews, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• 1 year manufacturing experience in tight-tolerance production.
• 5 axis and/or 3 axis and surface grinding experience.
• Strong math skills demonstrated during hiring.
• Must be able to measure parts within tight tolerances.
• Must read indicators and use tools such as dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges.
• Ability to set up and operate CNC equipment and run multiple machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up (or learn) and operate a 3-axis, milling, EDM and/or 5-axis creep feed grinding machine to grind surfaces to specifications.
• Measure parts and read measurement instruments to ensure tolerances.
• Detailed quality assurance review and ownership of the part operation.
• Review processes and suggest improvements in production and quality.
• Complete fixture tear-downs and machine set-ups as needed for a job.
• Identify grinding wheel changes when needed.
• Proactively complete daily asset care and escalate maintenance issues.
• Run multiple machines to meet cycle times and quality demands.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter.

The JobSquad Solutions Team is currently looking for a CNC Machine Operator (1st and 2nd shift) to work at a company located in the Glendale Heights, IL area!Job Title: CNC Machine Operator (1st and 2nd shift)Job Location: Glendale Heights, ILPay and Hours for Job + Benefits: 23$ - 28$/hr. 1st and 2nd shiftJob Description:DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities• Sets up (or the ability to learn) and operates a 3-axis, Milling, EDM and/or 5-axis creep feed grinding machine to grind flat or contoured surfaces to customer specifications.• Measures parts and reads measurement instruments using the following tools: Dial indicators, micrometers, calipers and plug gauges.• Detailed quality assurance review of work on a continuous basis taking full ownership of the part operation assigned.• Reviews operational processes and makes suggestions for process improvements in production, quality and company performance.• Complete fixture tear-downs and machine set-ups as needed for a specified job.• Identify the need for and complete grinding wheel changes when needed.• Proactively complete daily asset care requirements and subsequently escalate as needed maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor and maintenance team using established maintenance ticket process.Must be able to run multiple machines, assuring cycle run times and quality, per business demands.• Keep work area clean, organized and free from clutter.
