Perryman Company in Houston, PA is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up and run conventional and NC machines, fabricating precision parts for medical implants and instruments. You will read blueprints, select tooling, and monitor processes to ensure quality.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of machining experience, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and basic shop math skills. High school diploma or better is required, with training provided as needed.

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating conventional, special purpose and numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts such as medical implants, inserts, trials and instruments.

General job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
• Selects, aligns and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders and shapers.
• Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.
• Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
• Deburrs and cleans final part.
• Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
• Ability to use basic inspection equipment and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as basic blueprints and/or operation sheets.
• Basic shop math skills to include the ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and stand for 8 - 12 hours a day.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
