Job summary

A manufacturing company in Galesburg, IL, is seeking a CNC Machine Operator to set up, operate, and monitor computer-controlled machines. The successful candidate will ensure that parts meet specifications, interpret blueprints, and perform maintenance on equipment. A minimum of two years' experience with CNC machines is required. Job description

A CNC Machine Operator sets up, operates and monitors computer-controlled machines to produce parts from raw materials. Working hours are 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM onsite in Galesburg, IL.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and run the CNC machines, load and unload raw materials and oversee the machines while they are running.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and tolerance, using micrometers and height gauges.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and CAD design.
• Calibrate and set up machines, including tool registers, compensation, and conditional switches.
• Perform maintenance, cleaning, and minor adjustments on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and identify problems during production runs.
• Maintain logs on production, machine actions, and quality checks.

Job Requirements
