Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a CNC Lead to supervise the shop floor in Bohemia, NY. You will oversee daily machining activities, perform advanced CNC setups, and guide a team of machinists to hit production targets with tight tolerances.

The role requires 3 years of experience, a high school diploma, and a hands-on approach to quality, safety, and lean initiatives. First shift, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential overtime. Salary range: $65,000–$90,000 per year.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC/Mill lead experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to mentor machinists.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily machine shop floor activities, assigning jobs to meet production targets.
• Perform complex CNC machine setups, program edits, and tool proving.
• Mentor, train, and assist machinists with troubleshooting setups and tolerances.
• Ensure strict compliance with quality systems, safety policies, and lean manufacturing goals.
• Coordinate with engineering and scheduling teams to resolve shop floor bottlenecks.
