Job summary

Joyce/Dayton Corp. is seeking a CNC Lathe Operator II for the weekend shift in the United States. You will safely manufacture parts to tight tolerances, read blueprints and process sheets, and edit CNC programs with supervision. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and requires proficiency in setup and inspection.

The position is full-time, on-site, with Sunday, Monday, and Saturday workdays, starting early morning and running long hours. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required.
• 3 years of proven CNC Lathe experience.
• Overhead crane experience.
• Strong reading and interpretation of blueprints.
• Ability to set up machines and edit CNC programs.
• Capable of using precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Work to close tolerances (eg. .0002”).
• Machine metals including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Inspect parts during production using precision measuring instruments.
• Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining.
• Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs as needed.
• Mount work pieces and set up tooling per process sheet.
• Observe CNC displays and verify dimensions, feeds, and speeds.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and prepare for next orders.
