Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is seeking a CNC Operator who can set up and program computer‑programmed machines, measure dimensions, and ensure finished parts meet tight tolerances. You will use precision instruments, templates, and fixtures to verify conformance and maintain high quality in production runs.

The role requires basic maintenance of machines, adherence to ITAR requirements, and clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CNC operator or technician.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.

Summary

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Light machine maintenance, including wiping machine surfaces on the outside and cleaning chips and dust on the inside, and adding oil and other fluids regularly.
• Measure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Report any machining defects or dimensional nonconformance to the department lead immediately.

Education & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CNC operator or technician.
• Proficiency in reading, speaking, and writing English.

ITAR Requirements

• Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or otherwise eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
