Job summary

Cloeren Incorporated in Orange, TX seeks a CNC Lathe Machinist to operate 2- and 3-axis lathe machines in a climate-controlled facility, read blueprints, and produce precise metal, plastic, and composite parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You will use gauges and ERP tracking to document work, perform light maintenance, and collaborate with teams to meet production schedules; minimum 2+ years lathe experience and a high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven lathe experience with reading blueprints.
• Ability to use gauges and measurement tools to meet tolerances.
• Experience with ERP systems and basic Microsoft Office.

Description

The Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Lathe Machinist, located in a climate-controlled facility in Orange, TX, is committed to supporting Cloeren Incorporated continue to be the leader in extrusion die and feedblock quality and technology by operating CNC machines in a safe and productive manner, skilled precision and bench work in the fabrication, maintenance, repair and alteration of machinery, machine parts, tools, and equipment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1. Read and interpret blueprints.
2. Use gauge and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
3. Use precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as 2- and 3-axis lathe machines, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
4. Fabricates and shapes parts such as tools and machine parts out of metal, plastics, and composites.
5. Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
6. Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts, fixtures, and tooling.
7. Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.
8. Ability to track parts and jobs in ERP system.
9. Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
10. Operate the overhead cranes and forklift effectively and safely.
11. Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

At a minimum, the CNC Lathe Machinist must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 2+ years of proven experience working with lathe machines.
