Job summary
Schuff Steel Co, an industry leader in structural fabrication, seeks a CNC operator skilled in Plasma Arc and related equipment. The role involves layout of blueprints, loading materials, and operating multiple CNC machines on site in Eloy, AZ.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (GED acceptable) and some related experience, plus strong safety and maintenance habits. Competitive pay and comprehensive health insurance are offered.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; related vocational training may substitute for experience.
- Experience with CNC machinery and safety rules preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings and safety/maintenance instructions.
Responsibilities
- Layout, read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
- Operate CNC machinery including Plasma Arc, NC Punch Plasma, Beam Line Machine, Beam Punch Operator and NC Angle Master.
- Load and unload materials manually or with overhead crane/magnet.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Troubleshoot and mark/stamp materials; locate parts and supplies; comply with safety rules.
