Job summary

Acutec-Precision-Aerospace, Inc. is seeking a skilled grinder operator to set up and operate CNC cylindrical grinders, ensuring aerospace components meet tight tolerances and finishes.

You will inspect parts with precision measuring tools and document results, working independently or with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include adhering to routers and written instructions, performing housekeeping, and escalating any equipment or process issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and follow routers and written instructions.
• Operate CNC cylindrical grinders to meet final dimensions.
• Inspect ground parts using micrometers, bore gauges, and indicators.
• Report improper operation, faulty equipment, or defective materials to Supervisor.

Description

Responsibilities include utilizing state of the art CNC cylindrical grinders to grind aerospace components to final dimensional requirements. These tolerances can be as tight as .00005” and 4Ra surface finish. Other duties will include inspection of ground parts using various inspection tools such as micrometers, bore gages, and indicators and documenting inspection results. Work independently or with minimal direction from Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Work from blue prints and follow routers, corrective actions and other forms of written, verbal, and visual instruction.
• Utilization of CNC cylindrical grinders to achieve final dimensional requirements
• Utilization of inspection equipment
• Scrutinize every facet of job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to Supervisor.
• Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
