Job summary

Schafer Industries in Roscoe, IL is seeking a CNC ID/OD Grinding Machinist to set up, adjust and operate precision grinders for exacting dimensional finishes. The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus, 401(k) match, and an air-conditioned/heated facility.

You will program or edit machine controls, dress wheels, verify part quality against blueprints, and follow ISO procedures to maintain high productivity. English communication and basic computer use are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year certification from technical school or two plus years of grinding experience.
• Must be able to communicate in English.
• Ability to use a computer.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinders to exacting specifications.
• Dress wheels to obtain desired contours.
• Study blueprints and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Verify conformance of finished parts and follow ISO procedures.
• Train new personnel in the operation of assigned machines.
