Job summary

Georg Fischer in Irwindale, CA is seeking a Fabricator to produce high-quality fittings and components by reading blueprints, setting up CNC Prototrak mills, and operating conventional machines to tight tolerances. You will assemble parts, perform spot welding when needed, and train junior fabricators while maintaining a clean, safe 5S-compliant workspace in a climate-controlled facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational/technical training preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints, GD&T, and using precision tools.
• Minimum 1 year of machining/fabrication experience; spot welding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Prototrak mills and conventional machines to spec.
• Set up and run spot welders with proper fixture alignment.
• Train and mentor junior fabricators in machine shop skills.
• Interpret drawings and plan machining sequences to fabricate parts.
