Job Title: CNC Fabricator: Brake Press Operator

Job Description:

Nemco Food Equipment is committed to the manufacturing and on-time delivery of these piece parts to the assembly operations with a very experienced staff of fabricators who can operate a variety of work centers able to fabricate sheet steel into complex parts. After an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Durations of set-ups and run times will vary. Tasks require the setup and operation of CNC brake press to produce parts meeting blueprint specifications and tolerances, quality record documentation, incoming/in-process/outgoing quality assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow work order routings and properly complete associated paperwork in accordance with set procedures

• Perform first piece inspect of manufactured parts to meet blue-print specifications and tolerances, and adjust setups accordingly to ensure a quality product is produced

• Train new operators in the setup and operation of CNC machine as required

• Train to be proficient on various machines with moderate supervisor and or crew leader instruction

• Responsible for communicating to Supervisor and or crew leader all machine related issues (i.e. machine down or damage to equipment) and or part availability

Qualifications

• Ability to set up and operate machinery.

• Ability to read blueprints and to follow specific written instructions and procedures.

• Ability to use measuring tools.

• Ability to keep workspace clean and organized.

• Experience as a machine operator in a production environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.

Lifting: Frequently lifting items weighing 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs. Walking: Frequent walking short distances (less than 1/8 mile).

Carrying: Occasional carrying of bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs. short distances.

Pushing: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.

Pulling: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.

Bending: Occasional bending required to perform a variety of tasks.

Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from fixture in machine, tubs, carts, or pallets.

Handling: Frequent handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.

Gripping: Frequent gripping of parts.

Work Schedule:

· 1st Shift 5:00 am-3:30 pm (10 hour shift) Monday- Thursday Subject to Change

· 3rd Shift 7:00pm- 5:00am Monday - Thursday Subject to Change
