Job Title: CNC Fabricator: Brake Press Operator

Job Description:

Nemco Food Equipment is committed to the manufacturing and on-time delivery of these piece parts to the assembly operations with a very experienced staff of fabricators who can operate a variety of work centers. After an initial training period, productivity and quality requirements must be met. Tasks require the setup and operation of CNC brake press to produce parts meeting blueprint specifications and tolerances, quality record documentation, and quality assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Follow work order routings and properly complete associated paperwork in accordance with set procedures.
  2. Perform first piece inspection of manufactured parts to meet blueprint specifications and tolerances, and adjust setups accordingly to ensure a quality product is produced.
  3. Train new operators in the setup and operation of CNC machine as required.
  4. Train to be proficient on various machines with moderate supervisor and/or crew leader instruction.
  5. Responsible for communicating to Supervisor and/or crew leader all machine related issues (i.e., machine down or damage to equipment) and part availability.

Qualifications

  1. Ability to set up and operate machinery.
  2. Ability to read blueprints and to follow specific written instructions and procedures.
  3. Ability to use measuring tools.
  4. Ability to keep workspace clean and organized.
  5. Experience as a machine operator in a production environment preferred.

Physical Requirements

  1. Standing: Most tasks are performed in a standing position with intermittent walking.
  2. Lifting: Frequently lifting items weighing 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.; occasionally lifting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  3. Walking: Frequent walking short distances (less than 1/8 mile).
  4. Carrying: Occasional carrying of bulky items weighing up to 50 lbs. short distances.
  5. Pushing: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.
  6. Pulling: Use of manual hand truck and carts to occasionally move skids or parts short distances.
  7. Bending: Occasional bending required to perform a variety of tasks.
  8. Reaching: Frequent reaching to load and unload parts from fixture in machine, tubs, carts, or pallets.
  9. Handling: Frequent handling of parts ranging in weight from 5 lbs. to 10 lbs.
  10. Gripping: Frequent gripping of parts.

Work Schedule:

  1. 1st Shift 5:00 am-3:30 pm (10 hour shift) Monday- Thursday Subject to Change
  2. 3rd Shift 7:00pm-5:00am Monday - Thursday Subject to Change
