Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Fabrication Shop CNC Operator in the US-MD-Indian Head area to support the W37 Machine Shop, producing precision prototype parts and supporting Joint/interservice experiments.

Role involves setting up and operating CNC and manual machine tools, working with engineers to implement manufacturability improvements, and performing inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to ensure tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a current SECRET Clearance is required.
• A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing training or similar industrial experience.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments
• Working closely with engineers and designers to bring new concepts to life
• Fabricating, modifying, and repairing prototype components.
