Job summary

Destaco is seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator in Austin, TX to set up, operate, and monitor CNC and other fabrication equipment across the campus. You will load materials, adjust tooling, verify setups, and ensure parts meet specifications.

You will perform inspections with precision tools, document production data, and uphold 5S standards while working in a fast-paced team environment focused on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must understand engineering drawings and process sheets.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools for part verification.
• Able to set up, operate, and monitor CNC, automated, semi-automated, or manual fabrication equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor fully automated, semi-automated, and manual fabrication equipment as assigned.
• Load material, change tooling, verify setups, and prepare equipment for production runs.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other required tools.
• Identify quality concerns early and communicate issues to supervision or quality teams.
• Own autonomous maintenance for assigned machines and keep work area clean and organized.
• Support Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives and 5S/6S standards.
