Job summary

Wenger Corporation in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The role involves fabrication and operation of production equipment, adherence to blueprints and quality checks, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications include mechanical aptitude, basic math, experience with hand tools, and the ability to use computer systems. Prior CNC experience and forklift certification are a plus; 5S and safety compliance are

Qualifications

Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with solid basic math skills.
Comfortable using a variety of hand tools and precision measuring devices.
Willingness and ability to learn and perform multiple tasks within the work area.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Proficient in navigating and using various computer systems and screens.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is a plus.
Experience operating CNC equipment is beneficial.
Flexibility to adjust and plan work around changing schedules.
Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
Technical training or trade school certification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and operate production equipment such as saws, edge banders, CNC machining centers and other specialized machinery.
Follow standard work procedures, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accurate and consistent part production.
Perform in-process and final quality checks of finished parts and record QA data.
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify and resolve production issues.
Assist with machine setup, tool changes, and basic preventative maintenance.
Record production data and perform necessary paperwork and computer transactions.
Support downstream operations such as assembly or packing of finished goods as needed.
Maintain 5S practices and adhere to safety policies.
