As a CNC Equipment Specialist, you will ensure peak operational performance by maintaining complex manufacturing machinery. Your expertise in diagnostics and preventive maintenance will directly impact production uptime and quality standards across our facility.
Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules to extend equipment lifespan and minimize unexpected downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures, utilizing advanced troubleshooting techniques to restore production capacity rapidly.
- Interpret complex mechanical drawings and electrical schematics to disassemble, rebuild, and calibrate machine components.
- Manage parts procurement and coordinate with external service providers to resolve specialized technical challenges.
- Utilize precision tools, including lasers and ball bars, to verify and align machine accuracy to original manufacturing specifications.
- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and documentation to ensure compliance with safety regulations and operational standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in machine performance and material usage.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of hands‑on experience maintaining CNC and manual machinery.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hydraulic systems, gearboxes, and lubrication units.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Demonstrated experience using digital voltmeters and control diagnostics.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Skills
- Associate degree or technical certification in industrial maintenance.
- Experience with CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Siemens, or Heidenhain.
- Knowledge of axis feedback systems including encoders, resolvers, and linear scales.
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic equipment like oscilloscopes and Renishaw ball bars.
