Job summary

Weiss-Aug – New Kensington, PA is seeking a CNC Advanced Machinist for the 2nd shift to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate multiple CNC and manual machines to produce high-quality components for aerospace, medical, and defense sectors.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in CNC setup, proficiency with CAD/CAM, and the ability to read blueprints. We offer strong benefits and a collaborative work environment in New Kensington.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years CNC machine setup and manual machining experience.
• Familiar with CNC programming and CAD/CAM software.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate lathes, cutters, borers, millers, grinders, presses, drills, and CNC machines.
• Align tools, gears, cams, and templates to exact specs.
• Run test cycles to verify timing, clearance, and tolerances.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine setup issues.
• Make program edits and adjustments on CNC machines.
• Read blueprints and layouts to plan work sequences.
• Train and mentor team members as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives (kaizen, cycle-time reduction).
