Job summary

Ace Precision in Wisconsin is hiring a skilled CNC 5-Axis Milling Setup Machinist to set up and operate CNC Milling Centers, machining repetitive metallic parts with precision.

You will read and interpret complex sketches, create five-axis movement, and verify conformance using micrometers, bore gauges, and other inspection tools. The role includes multiple shifts, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Interprets fairly complicated sketches, routings, and product specs to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Conceives five-axis movements and set up requirements.
• Sets up, adjusts, verifies programming, and operates CNC Milling Centers.
• Detects process variations and out-of-tolerance conditions and reports them.
• Maintains close tolerances and uses inspection equipment to verify parts.

Responsibilities

• Operates multiple CNC Milling Centers to maximize throughput.
• Sets up tools, checks offsets, and verifies tool paths.
• Keeps parts within tight tolerances and finish specs.
• Uses bore gauges, rail gauges, and micrometers for inspection.

If you’re looking for a reliable opportunity in a hands-on environment, we encourage you to apply!**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**Works from and interprets fairly complicated sketches, routings, and product specifications to determine product dimensions and tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.Conceptualizes multiple axis movement, up to and including five axis.Sets up, adjusts, verifies programming, and operates CNC Milling Centers and tools.Detects machining operation malfunctions and out-of-tolerance dimensions.Recognizes and reports process variations, operational and tooling sequences, tool offsets, dimensional and finish deviations, and assists with making corrective adjustments within prescribed limitations.Operates multiple machines concurrently in order to maximize efficiency and effectively utilize resources.Maintains close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications through the use of various inspection measuring equipment, including bore gages, rail gages, and ID and OD micrometers.
