Job summary

NMC Health plc is seeking a Part-Time CNA for Wound Care at the Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Center in Newton, KS. Primary setting is a hospital-based outpatient clinic with some support to other rehab settings. You will work under RN/LPN supervision to provide comfort and well-being to patients.

Qualifications include a Kansas nurse aide certification and CPR/BLS. High school diploma required; 1+ year experience preferred.

Position Summary: Primary setting is a hospital-based outpatient clinic with some secondary assist of wound care coverage to Acute and Inpatient Rehab settings.

The Nurse Assistant works under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN)/Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality care that is focused on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family. Other functions/competencies of the position may include unit clerk, monitor technician, general clerical activities, activities of daily living and basic nursing procedures. Performs duties and presents in a manner that would lead to high levels of patient satisfaction. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team. This position reports to the clinic manager.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma

Experience: 1+ year experience preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

• Participates in routine activities of patient care for the specific unit/department population;
• Performs delegated care tasks in timely, efficient manner, and under the guidance of the RN/LPN.
• Contributes to continuity of care and effective communication by reporting care provided and changes in the patient's condition to the primary nurse or designee in a timely fashion

Licensure, registration, or certification:

• Certification as a nurse aide by the state of Kansas
• Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support required
