Job summary

Marshall Healthcare Facility in Machias, Maine, is a 64-bed skilled and long-term care facility seeking a CNA to join our clinical team. The Weekend Warrior program requires 26 consecutive weekends, with 12-hour or 16-hour shift options and a $3.00 per hour weekend premium on top of any regular differentials.

As a core member of our team, you will assist with daily living activities, support nutrition, monitor health, document care, and maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Active placement on the Maine CNA Registry as a graduate of a state-approved program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology, nursing care, and anatomy/physiology.
• Familiarity with computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong multitasking, communication skills, and a friendly bedside manner.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living: showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Supporting nutrition: serving meals, feeding patients, and providing fresh water and nourishments.
• Monitoring health: checking vital signs, answering call lights, and reporting observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Documenting care accurately and maintaining professional standards and patient confidentiality.

The "Weekend Warrior" Program Details

• Commitment: 26 consecutive weekends (6 months total).
• Shift Options: Work either a minimum of three (3) 12-hour shifts or two (2) 16-hour shifts per weekend.
• Weekend Window: Defined as starting Friday at 6:30 AM and ending Monday at 7:00 PM.
• Premium Pay: Enjoy an incredible $3.00 per hour premium differential for all hours worked during the weekend window—stacked right on top of any regular weekend differentials!

Your Role & Responsibilities
