Job summary

Great Falls Clinic Hospital in Great Falls, MT is seeking a PACU Support Aide to assist nursing staff in patient care, admissions and discharge clerical tasks, and equipment checks. You will work closely with RNs to maintain smooth patient flow in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a high school diploma; MT CNA preferred; one year acute care preferred; strong communication and basic computer skills are a plus. Equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Order, replace, and report defective equipment; assist patients and visitors as needed.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Works with RN and other nursing staff to indirectly care for patients in the PACU from admission to discharge. Performs clerical duties related to admission & discharge from the PACU. Answers telephone and communicates clearly when receiving information from units or providers. Uses clear and complete communication with unit personnel when delivering information about unit activities. Performs duties in fast paced environment with prioritization and organization of work assignments, adjusting priorities based on changing situations. Other duties include ordering, replacing, collaborating in reporting and replacing defective equipment and assisting patients and visitors as needed.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Computer course, preferred

EXPERIENCE:

• One (1) year in acute care setting, preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

• MT CNA Certification, preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Medical Terminology, preferred
