Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge seeks Certified Nursing Assistants to provide direct resident care under the supervision of nurses, preserving dignity and a home-like environment.

Core duties include assisting with bathing, feeding, hygiene, turning residents, taking vital signs, and answering call lights. Schedule is 7:00am to 7:30pm with weekend shift differentials offered.

Qualifications

• Virginia CNA license current and active.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• HS diploma or GED or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic environment and direct resident care.
• Participate in rounds of resident rooms and other areas as required.
• Take vital signs and monitor resident condition.
• Turn and reposition bedridden residents to prevent skin breakdown.
• Assist with bathing, eating, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Answer Call lights and assist with admissions/discharges.
